Anyone who owns or manages a farm out in the province will tell you that the value a reliable pickup brings to the table is undeniable. Not only does this type of vehicle allow you to tackle less-than-stellar terrain, but its bed also makes it a flexible choice for transporting all kinds of goods.
If you’re looking for an alternative to the usual Japanese brands, the Maxus T60 might be a good fit. Arcie Sumayao, a Manila-based entrepreneur who’s building a farm in Cavite, says the vehicle is helping him is proving its worth during the COVID-19 pandemic, calling it a “true value-for-money purchase.”
“I’m happy with my T60 because it has served as my companion, especially when it comes to transporting heavy materials that are needed to build the farm of my dreams,” Sumayao said, adding that the model’s dimensions allow it to routinely overcome the rocky path that leads to the property he’s working on.
Aside from its utilitarian qualities, Sumayao also shared that the T60 is sometimes also used for leisure around his property.
“My son and his cousins love to ride in the back and just basically stroll around the farm,” he said.
Units come equipped with a 2.8-liter turbodiesel that generates 148hp @ 3,400rpm and 360Nm of torque between 1,600 and 2,800rpm. Starting price? P998,000.
