For this list, we’ve focused on the top five fuel-efficient cars in the Fuel Eco Run results that fall between the P1 million and P2 million range. For those who thought there weren’t enough hybrids in the below-P1 million list, this one’s for you.

1) Chery Tiggo rEV C-DM (84.28km/L)

Starting off this list is the Chery Tiggo rEV C-DM. It has a Miller-cycle 1.5-liter turbocharged engine and a 18.66kWh battery delivering a combined output of 202hp and 310Nm of torque. This plug-in hybrid SUV achieved a fuel-efficiency score of 84.28km/L. The Chery Tiggo rEV C-DM comes with a price tag of P1,528,000.
2) Lynk & Co 01 PHEV (58.06km/L)

Next up is the Lynk & Co 01 PHEV. The 01 has a 1.5-liter turbocharged engine paired with an electric motor that puts out combined 285hp and 265Nm of torque. This crossover got a fuel-efficiency score of 58.06km/L. This car was previously priced above P2 million when we reviewed it, but Lynk & Co now lists the 01 at P1,778,000 on its website.
3) Nissan Kicks e-Power VL (37.04km/L)

Third on this list is the Nissan Kicks e-Power. The Kicks achieved a score of 37.04km/L on the Fuel Eco Run. This subcompact crossover uses an engine-generator combination with a 1.2-liter inline-three engine and a front electric motor. It generates an output of 134hp and 280Nm of torque. You can get the Nissan Kicks e-Power VL for P1,539,000.
4) Honda Civic RS e:HEV (30.12km/L)

At fourth, we have the Honda Civic RS e:HEV. This Civic has a 2.0-liter engine paired with an electric motor capable of 181hp and 315Nm of torque. The sedan got a fuel efficiency score of 30.12km/L. The Honda Civic RS e:HEV stickers for P1,990,000.
5) Nissan Almera 1.0T 2WD CVT (29.33km/L)

At fifth, we have the Nissan Almera 1.0T CVT. The Almera is the only car on this list that isn’t a hybrid. Instead, it uses a frugal 1.0-liter turbocharged three-cylinder delivering 99hp and 152Nm mated to an Xtronic CVT. This subcompact sedan achieved a fuel efficiency score of 29.33km/L. The Nissan Almera 1.0T CVT has a price tag of P1,155,000.
