Toyota has officially launched its highly anticipated Land Cruiser FJ in the Philippines. It joins the all-new Toyota Hilux and the Land Cruiser HEV as the brand’s newest additions to its local lineup.
Presented at the 2026 Philippine International Motor Show (PIMS), the Land Cruiser FJ is the smallest 4WD SUV in the brand’s portfolio. It isn’t exactly Toyota’s answer to the Suzuki Jimny 5-Door as some people may have expected. Size-wise, the Land Cruiser is larger than the Jimny, has a bigger engine, and sits in a different price range, too.

With a ladder-frame chassis and a 4WD system, the ‘Baby LC’ is an SUV to look out for, especially for off-road enthusiasts. Expect it to become a popular platform for customization when more people get their hands on it.

Toyota Land Cruiser FJ 2026 Philippine prices:

The Land Cruiser FJ has two main variants, the TX and the VX. Both come with automatic transmissions and part-time 4WD systems. The price starts at P2,235,000 for the TX variant and P2,575,000 for the VX. Both variants have a premium of P15,000 if you decide to get the Platinum White Pearl Mica colorway.
Exterior of the Toyota Land Cruiser FJ 2026:

Just how big or small is the Land Cruiser FJ? The compact SUV is similar in size to the RAV4, but taller and sits higher off the ground. It measures 4,610mm long, 1,855mm wide, and 1,890mm tall (1,955mm for the VX variant), and has a wheelbase of 2,580mm and a ground clearance of 245mm.
The front fascia features a rugged design that a lot of you compare with the Tamaraw. It has a solid black bumper with silver accents, C-shaped LED headlights inside rectangular frames, and Toyota badging spelled out on the front grille.

On the sides, the Land Cruiser FJ features black door moldings to protect against scratches and large overfenders that seamlessly connect the front bumper to the rear. The body lines have a rounded rectangular theme throughout the SUV. And while this is much smaller, the silhouette reminds me of the old FJ Cruiser.
Moving on to the rear, the taillights are widely spaced out, the spare tire is mounted to the cargo door, which has black accents that complement the spare-wheel protector and tinted glass. The SUV sits on 18-inch alloys for the VX variants and 17-inch steelies for the TX.
Interior of the Toyota Land Cruiser FJ 2026:

The Land Cruiser FJ has a black utilitarian interior. Both variants have well-supported synthetic-leather seats and a seven-inch TFT instrument panel. The higher VX variant gets a 12.3-inch infotainment display and a leather shift knob, while the TX variant gets a nine-inch display and a PVC shift knob.
Both variants feature physical buttons and switches on the dashboard, 4WD modes are selected through a knob beside the shifter, and there’s even a manual lever-type parking brake. Only the driver’s seat of the VX gets eight-way power adjustment; the rest of the seats are adjusted manually.
As for cargo space, the second row of the five-seat layout can fold down to accommodate 1,480mm of cargo. With the seats upright, the cargo length becomes 735mm with a cargo height of 1,030mm.
Engine and specs for the Toyota Land Cruiser FJ 2026:

Both variants have the 2.7-liter 2TR-FE naturally aspirated gasoline engine mated to a six-speed automatic transmission. It makes 164hp and 245Nm of torque, and operates in RWD by default when 4WD isn’t selected. The same motor has been used in gasoline versions of the Fortuner, Hilux, Hiace, Innova, and even the Land Cruiser Prado in foreign markets.
Extra features of the Toyota Land Cruiser FJ 2026:

As for safety features, both variants come with rear cameras and an Active Traction Control System, while the higher VX variant comes with Toyota Safety Sense 3.0, which features dynamic radar cruise control, lane-tracing assist, lane-departure alert, automatic high beam, and a pre-collision system.
Uneven surfaces are handled by double wishbone suspension in the front and multi-link suspension in the rear. The SUV might come stock with highway-terrain tires to maximize fuel economy, so you’ll probably want to swap them out for proper all-terrain or mud-terrain rubber if you’re planning on bringing this SUV out to the trails.
Apart from Platinum White Pearl Mica, which costs more, the Land Cruiser FJ is also available in Smoky Blue, Oxide Bronze Mica, Attitude Black Mica, and Ash.
