When Atsuhiro Okamoto first faced the media as the new Toyota Motor Philippines (TMP) president way back in early 2020, there was one thing that really struck me during his presentation: He showed a few photos of himself in full costume.
“Must be a cool and fun guy who likes cosplay,” I thought to myself.
Fast forward to 2023—several missed Christmas parties and social gatherings later—Okamoto-san now finally had a chance to channel his inner cosplayer again, and surely, it did not disappoint. As he shared on social media, he pulled up to one of Toyota’s parties this year dressed up in a full Iron Man suit. It looks pretty sick.

It doesn’t look like a run-of-the-mill costume either—it came with a proper helmet and with the repulsors and the arc reactor all lit. While there were a lot of cool costumes in what appeared to be a Marvel-themed event, we reckon Okamoto’s armor stole the show. By the looks of it, he even got a grand Tony Stark-esque entrance to boot.
It’s nice to see the head honchos of some of the industry’s biggest players ligthen up like this during the holidays. Considering how busy TMP has been all year, we’re sure all the people there appreciated a break like this.
