Toyota Motor Philippines (TMP) recently sent us an invite for a launch event set for October 17, and by now we’re pretty sure that it’s the facelifted Fortuner that’s on its way. Apart from the fact that we’ve already seen it on our roads, our source has now sent us all the details on this new-look SUV—specs, features, and prices included.
Let’s start with the variants and pricing. The top-of-the-line Legender variant that launched in Thailand earlier this year will in fact arrive here as the ‘LTD’ and will take the place of the 4x4 V variants in the lineup. These variants will receive a price bump of at least P113,000. Meanwhile, the two 4x2 V variants will both get P120,000 price cuts. Then, in between these, TMP will be adding two new variants.
Also, we’ve noted that the new price list implies that the gasoline variant has been discontinued—we’ll keep you posted on that. For a detailed look, you can check out the table below:

Now, for the specs. We’ve been told that top-spec units of the new Fortuner will be powered by the 201hp, 500Nm 2.8-liter turbodiesel that’s now available on the recently unveiled Hilux. Lower variants retain the 150hp, 400Nm 2.4-liter turbodiesel. Both powertrains will come mated to a six-speed automatic gearbox, while the base variant can be had with a six-speed manual.
As for added niceties, the Q and LTD variants will get Toyota Safety Sense with features such as pre-collision avoidance assist, lane departure alert, and adaptive cruise control. These units also get front-ventilated leather seats and wireless charging inside the cabin, as well as a power tailgate.
All trims except the base G variants get a smart entry system with push-start ignition, a panoramic view monitor, a leather steering wheel with wood trim, a ‘Sport’ drive mode, an eight-inch display audio, automatic climate control, and automatic power windows all around. Standard features across the range include Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity and speed-sensing door locks
Also worth noting here are the new exterior colors that will supposedly be available: two-tone Attitude Black Mica with Silver Metallic or White Pearl (LTD exclusive) and Sparkling Black Pearl Crystal Shine (Q and V variants only).
In any case, there’s only about two weeks left before the actual launch, so we’re expecting to get more updates real soon. For now, you can check out more photos from our readers below:
