Well, what do we have here? The Land Transportation Office (LTO) recently published homologation papers for a fully electric version of the Changan Nevo Q05. This particular nameplate has been available in the Philippines for a little over a year, but only as a plug-in hybrid crossover.
Since then, the brand has added other combustion-engined and hybrid vehicles to its stable. Changan has yet to introduce another full EV, leaving the subcompact Lumin as its sole electric offering.

At the 2026 Manila International Auto Show, we got word that a plug-in hybrid configuration of the CS55 Plus was instead on the way. However, given the rising popularity of electric crossovers, the Nevo Q05 BEV may make more sense.

If Changan Philippines is indeed bringing this in, then it may have a direct competitor against the likes of the BYD Atto 3 and the Toyota Urban Cruiser. Based on the LTO’s listing, the Nevo Q05 BEV measures 4,335mm long, 1,855mm wide, and 1,600mm tall, putting it right in between the aforementioned crossovers in terms of size.

And with a wheelbase of 2,735mm, the cabin seats five passengers. Ground clearance is also listed at 180mm, with the help of 18-inch rollers shod in 225/55R18 tires.
It will also offer a driving range of 455km, and in terms of power, there is about 161hp on tap. Changan has yet to announce anything about a new EV, nor has it given updates on a new CS55. With the rest of the year to go, Changan still has plenty of time to debut a new vehicle, or perhaps even two new products. Watch this space for the latest updates.
