Denza Philippines has put the B5 and B8 plug-in hybrid SUVs on display at the 2026 Manila International Auto Show. The Chinese brand officially began local operations in February 2026 as it launched the D9 MPV, with these two vehicles looming in the background.

The B5 and B8 are set to formally debut soon, most probably within the second and third quarters of this year. While no indicative prices have been disclosed, Denza did share the updated specifications of these two rugged SUVs.

Both make use of the DMO powertrain, which the local market first saw on the BYD Shark 6. Although the B8 does carry a more powerful generator and a more robust suspension system, the two essentially share the same off-road aspirations. You can find a rundown of each of these Denza vehicles below.

Meanwhile, the B8 measures in at 5,195mm long, 1,994mm wide, and 1,905mm tall, which makes it longer and wider than a Toyota Land Cruiser, but not as tall. It will be offered in either a Dynamic variant or a Premium trim. The former is configured with a seven-seater cabin, while the latter has a six-seater interior with captain’s seats on the second row.

The Premium B8 also comes with a head-up display and a digital rearview mirror, but both variants come with DiPilot, and Denza’s DiSus-P suspension system. That should be able to electronically adjust the car’s height to optimize ride comfort.

And as previously reported, the B8 comes with a more powerful 2.0-liter turbocharged engine. It is paired with a 36.9kWh battery to propel the two motors, with power outputs listed at 603hp and 760Nm of torque. Like the B5, this also has a 4WD system, but only the Premium variant has front and rear electronic differential systems. Those who opt for the Dynamic B8 will only get a front differential.

The B5 comes in at 4,888mm long, 1,970mm wide, and 1,920mm tall, making it slightly bigger than a Mitsubishi Montero Sport in size. Although it shares the same wheelbase as the Montero at 2,800mm.

Inside, the cabin has been dressed in leather with an accompanying 16-speaker Devialet audio system. Other creature comforts include the full DiPilot driver-assistance suite and a built-in refrigerator.

Under the hood lies a 1.5-liter turbocharged generator, which supports the 31.8kWh battery and the B5’s dual motors. Overall, the powertrain makes 677hp and 760Nm of torque, with delivery to the front and rear axles via a 4WD system. There is also a front and rear electronic differential system.
