The results are in. According to the New Car Assessment Program for Southeast Asian Countries (ASEAN NCAP), the GAC GS3 Emzoom is a pretty safe car.
During the latest round of ASEAN NCAP crash tests, the GS3 Emzoom managed to drive off with an impressive five-star safety rating. It scored 36.60 points for adult occupant protection (AOP), 16.43 points for child occupant protection (COP), 17.86 points for safety assist, and 17.50 points for motorcyclist safety for a total of 88.39 points.

The unit that underwent ASEAN NCAP testing was kitted with six airbags and various advanced safety features like autonomous emergency braking (AEB), AEB for pedestrians, forward collision warning, and lane keep assist.

“ASEAN NCAP is proud that the GAC made the leap of having its latest model, the GAC Emzoom, to undergo the ASEAN NCAP 2021–2025 assessment,” the safety organization said in a statement, praising the model’s AEB feature for motorcycles.
“The technologies will indeed assist drivers in avoiding collisions with motorcycles either on the side or frontal part of the vehicle.”
