Honda offices in China have just revealed the latest iteration of the Honda Fit—or the Jazz, as it was known in the Philippines. It has been about five years since the beloved hatchback exited our local market, and we continue to miss it.
We will also surely miss this version, which features sharper headlights and a wider nose. Admittedly, it’s not the cleanest-looking Jazz, but we cannot take our eyes off that race-car concept among the lineup of variants.

Dressed in a dark blue livery with white wheels and a full bodykit to match, this is one of the most intriguing Fit builds we’ve seen in a while. The bodykit includes red-trimmed side skirts and bumpers, a blacked-out hood with a hood scoop, and a matching rear wing. GAC Honda has yet to reveal more photos of the concept, but we’re already hooked.

Power output is yet to be confirmed, but the other Fit models will utilize a 1.5-liter engine and a continuously variable transmission. The interior also gets an upgrade by way of a new 10.1-inch infotainment display, equipped with wireless connectivity.

Honda claims that 700km can be covered on a single tank of gas, but the fuel tank size and estimated efficiency have also not been revealed.
GAC Honda will be selling just 3,000 units from this production run as it aims to retain the Fit’s title as the “people’s supercar under RMB500,000.” Its starting price is well below that at just RMB66,800, which converts to around P570,000.
