It’s been one heck of an outing so far for Hyundai Motor Philippines (HMPH) at this year’s Manila International Auto Show (MIAS). Alongside the launch of the all-new Elantra N, the carmaker has also rolled out the Ioniq 5 N.
To those who aren’t familiar, this N-badged Hyundai promises the signature performance that the Korean brand’s motorsport division is known for. The difference? Like the Ioniq 5 it’s derived from, it’s fully electric.

Actually, Top Gear Philippines’ own features editor Anton Andres was recently able to drive this special Hyundai in Barcelona just before it arrived here—click on these blue words to read more on that.
The Ioniq 5 N is powered by an 84kWh battery that powers the dual electric motors. The entire electric system boasts an eye-watering 600hp and 750Nm of torque, allowing 0-100kph in just 3.5sec. For reference, that’s more than triple the horses and more than double the torque of the higher-spec Ioniq 5.
Now, for the big question... How much is it? The Hyundai Ioniq 5 N is now available in the Philippines for P4,250,000. Equally as eye-watering as its performance? Well, it’s just about half a million more expensive than the top-spec Ioniq 5, so that’s actually not that bad. What do you guys think?
