In its bid to end the year with a bang, Hyundai Motor Philippines (HMPH) greeted the holiday season with a preview of the all-new Hyundai Santa Fe. But that announcement wasn’t all that HMPH had in store for us.
To get us even more excited for the coming year—and probably to prove a point that it has absolutely no plans of slowing down in 2024—the carmaker also teased the arrival of some models that we’ve never seen before in our market: the N models.

In the same program where the Santa Fe was unveiled, HMPH also showcased ever so briefly its N brand. Shown on screen were a handful of models including the Ioniq 5 N, the performance arm’s latest masterpiece.

HMPH didn’t specify anything, though, so it could be anything. While it could make sense to launch an N version of an EV that’s already offered here, we could be in for a surprise. Maybe the brand wants to challenge the Honda Civic Type R with the Elantra N? Or heck, the Veloster N? What if it wants to shake the market with the Kona N? Seeing as we’ve already been treated to one surprise in the Santa Fe, what’s another big one, right?
Now, if we’re being completely honest, we’re still not 100% sure if there really will be new N models launched here. We’re stoked, but we don’t want to get our hopes too high up. So for now, we’ll just sit patiently and wait, and we suggest you do the same.
