This is a new Porsche. It’s electric. It’s got a fully electric 563hp. It’ll do 0-100kph in 3.8sec. And just like its gasoline-powered, sportier stablemates, it’s probably the one to have.
So, welcome to the new electric Porsche Macan GTS, a car that carries a very historic moniker, and for those in the know, a moniker that signifies it’s probably all the Porsche you need. All the electric SUV Porsche you need, of course.
Positioned just underneath the electric Macan Turbo, this new Macan GTS deploys that Turbo’s very powerful rear-axle motor, able to deliver just under 510hp—or 563hp of overboost power using ‘Launch Control.’ There’s also 954Nm of torque on offer, which is what you’d call ‘meaty.’

So meaty, in fact, it’s faster and more powerful than the gas-powered Macan GTS. When that e-motor’s chock-full of power from the giant 100kWh battery, all of those 563 horsies can be marshaled to all four wheels to summon up that aforementioned 0-100kph sprint, 0-200kph in 13.3sec, and a limited top speed of 249kph.
Porsche claims 584km of range when you’re not overboosting everywhere, and should you need to recharge, it’ll do it in 21 minutes when connected to a fast charger (it can accept up to 270kW).
The GTS gets Porsche’s Sport Chrono Pack as standard, a rear-biased weight distribution, acronyms—electric Porsche Traction Management (ePTM), Porsche Torque Vectoring Plus (PTV, um, Plus)—an e-diff lock, and 10mm lower air suspension that gives this Macan the lowest center of gravity in the range.
There’s special noise, too, in the sound of another acronym: Porsche Electric Sport Sound (PESS). Special design as well, in the shape of black details, new side skirts, a more ‘pronounced’ rear diffuser panel, 21-inch wheels—with the option of 22s. New colors are also available, while inside you’ll find ‘Race-Tex’ upholstery, leather, 18-way adjustable sports seats, and the rest of the new Macan’s cockpit setup.
Prices start from £89,000 (around P6.95 million), which puts it one down from the Macan Turbo at £97,000 (around P7.58 million).
