The first time we heard about Toyota’s plans to launch the all-electric bZ4X in the Philippines, we still had to wear face masks if we wanted to be out and about. It was only recently, though—more than three years since we first got wind of this—that we could really tell it was finally on its way. Thank you, LTO homologation papers.
Now, it’s finally, finally here. Toyota Motor Philippines has officially announced that reservations for its first-ever fully electric vehicle in the country are now open.

To the unfamiliar, this EV falls around the compact SUV category, measuring 4,690mm long, 1,860mm wide, and 1,650mm tall. It has a 2,850mm wheelbase and 200mm of ground clearance and can seat five people. Basically, it’s like an electric RAV4.

Only one variant of the bZ4X will be available in the Philippines, and that comes powered by dual electric motors that drive all four wheels. Total output is rated at 338hp and 338Nm of torque. Color options are namely: Emotional Red, Precious Metal, Platinum White Pearl Mica, and Blue Mica.
“Our multi-pathway approach is all about giving customers multiple options,” shared TMP president Masando Hashimoto. “I hope more Filipinos can join us in our movement toward carbon neutrality with the all-new bZ4X.”
Once we’ve gotten our hands on this, we’ll share more about it. But what you need to know now is that the all-new Toyota bZ4X comes with a sticker price of P2.699 million. We know it was quite the wait, but seeing as this is a Toyota, it would be safe to assume that it was worth it. Thoughts, readers? We’d love to hear your insights in the comments.
