It looks like it’s not just the all-new Tamaraw that Toyota Motor Philippines (TMP) is prepping for as of late. A source has just shared with us that the carmaker is also gearing up for the launch of the facelifted Corolla Cross.
This new model was launched in Thailand just a little over a month ago and has already been dressed up with all sorts of accessories (see below) since. It boasts a new mesh-like grille and an overall sportier-looking front fascia. It doesn’t look like there were changes made to the rear, but the Thai-spec model in the photos appear to have gotten ever-so-slight tweaks to the taillights.

As for what we’ll be getting in the Philippines, expect to see something similar to what you see in the photos. We’ve also been told that TMP might replace the pure petrol setup in the G variant with the existing hybrid powertrain, which means we could be seeing an all-electrified lineup for the Corolla Cross in 2024. In case you aren’t familiar yet, that hybrid consists of a 1.8-liter four-cylinder gasoline engine paired with an electric motor that together put out 121hp.
A new Emotional Red 2/Attitude Black Mica two-tone colorway is said to become available for the GR-S variant, while the monotone Attitude Black Mica and Red Mica Metallic are expected to be dropped from the lineup.
As for the SRP, well, we actually have an indicative price list with us. TMP will supposedly offer the base Corolla Cross at just a smidge under P1.5 million with the range topping out at above P1.9 million for the GR-S trim. We’ll list the numbers below.
Toyota Corolla Cross 2024 prices (tentative)
- Toyota Corolla Cross 1.8 GR-S HEV CVT (two-tone ER) – P1,922,000
- Toyota Corolla Cross 1.8 GR-S HEV CVT (two-tone WP) – P1,917,000
- Toyota Corolla Cross 1.8 V HEV CVT – P1,763,000*
- Toyota Corolla Cross 1.8 G HEV CVT – P1,498,000*
*Additional P15,000 for White Pearl color option.
In case this is true, then we’re still not sure when TMP plans to launch the new Corolla Cross. All we know is that if these prices are already making the rounds, then that launch might come sooner rather than later. So if and when TMP finally makes the official announcement, we’ll let you know. Watch this space.
