Is your Ford Territory having issues starting? If so, your unit might be part of a recall to address issues surrounding the vehicle’s electrical battery sensor (EBS) wiring harness and bracket.
In a statement, Ford Philippines announced that it is already reaching out to owners of affected units as part of a “customer satisfaction program,” and that the company will service these vehicles completely free of charge.
The estimated servicing time for the repair is less than half a day and involves replacing the wiring harness attached to the EBS, the carmaker said. A broken EBS bracket can cause the Territory to have problems starting after being switched off.
The Ford Territory, a product of the brand’s joint venture with the Jiangling Motors Corporation, was launched in August last year packing a 1.5-liter EcoBoost engine with 141hp and 225Nm of torque. The vehicle carries a P1,199,000 starting price and is positioned as a budget-friendly alternative to the brand’s larger SUVs.
So, if you’ve noticed that your Territory unit is having trouble getting going, you may receive a call from Ford Philippines soon. Hopefully, the company gets this issue sorted out sooner rather than later.
