Inchcape Philippines, the local distributor of Changan, has inked a deal with the EV Taxi Corporation (EVTC) to supply Grab Philippines’ first fully electric taxi fleet.
The Changan Eado EV460 will headline the launch of GrabTaxi Electric, and introduce a sustainable, affordable transportation service for Grab PH and its customers. At the time of writing, the service is still in the beta testing phase around Metro Manila.

The fully electric sedan is advertised with a spacious, five-seater cabin, and when fully charged, its 47.78kWh battery should be good for 401km of picking up and dropping off Grab users.

At the partnership signing, EVTC president Frankie Ang shared how this venture promotes eco-friendly mobility in the Philippines: “The goal is to build a greener transportation system, create better livelihood opportunities for drivers, and show that sustainable travel is not just a vision for tomorrow, it’s a reality Filipinos can ride today.”
GrabTaxi Electric also marks the comeback of the Eado EV460. When Changan reintroduced itself to the Philippine market back in 2020, the sedan took center stage as the only EV in its refreshed lineup. It was then discontinued in the Philippines, while more electrified Changan models were brought in. And based on Changan’s website, the Eado EV460 will stay exclusive to Grab PH and EVTC, as it is not listed in the current lineup.
