So you've seen the supremely awesome Nissan Titan Warrior concept--the meanest-looking pickup truck we've come across lately. We absolutely fell in love with its rugged looks, and based on the reception it received from our social-media friends, it seems so did everyone else. Now, we've found another reason to love this monster. It turns out it was designed by a Filipino.

The Titan Warrior project's design team was led by Randy Rodriguez, a Filipino-Canadian who also happens to be responsible for the design of the Nissan 370Z. In a video interview with Nissan, Randy describes his latest work as a highly aggressive, more enhanced off-road form of the standard model of the Titan. He adds that the finished product is more robotic and technical as well.

"It's almost like Christmas actually when you sketch something and you see parts being created, and you get to see different elements of the design," says Rodriguez. "It's almost like Christmas presents. It's that kind of feeling."

It's always nice seeing a kababayan do well on a global stage. Maybe one day Randy can come back over to the Philippines for a short while to design something similar. With our roads, floods and chaotic traffic, we could definitely use a Warrior of our own.
