Fuel prices will see mixed movement this week, and unfortunately for owners of gasoline vehicles, they’re getting the short end of the stick.

For the week of 23 to 29, 2024, gasoline prices will increase again by P0.55 per liter, after the previous P0.40/L price hike. Diesel prices, however, will go down by P0.95 per liter, fully negating last week’s increase. The same goes for kerosene, which will have a price rollback of P1.10 per liter.

Once these adjustments take effect, gasoline and diesel prices will have gone up by P10.25/L and P6.05/L, respectively, since the beginning of 2024. Kerosene prices, meanwhile, will have increased by P1.15/L since the start of the year.

If you want to save up on fuel costs, remember that fuel prices may vary depending on location and the brand of the fuel station; it might be cheaper somewhere along your regular route than near your place of residence or work. Is your car consuming more fuel than usual? Here’s one thing to check. While we’re at it, here are the signs your fuel injectors could be failing.
