PH fuel price update: P0.90/L increase for diesel effective January 16

Fuel prices are still trending upward this week, and for owners of diesel vehicles, the increase is the biggest we’ve seen so far this year.

Effective January 16, 2024, diesel prices will go up by P0.90 per liter. Gasoline prices are also set to increase by P0.30 per liter, while for kerosene, there will be a price hike of P0.90 per liter.

Once these adjustments take effect, gasoline and diesel prices will have gone up by P0.30/L and P0.65/L, respectively, since the beginning of 2024, while kerosene will have decreased by P0.40/L from the start of the year.

If you want to save up on fuel costs, remember that fuel prices may vary depending on location and the brand of the fuel station; it might be cheaper somewhere along your regular route than near your place of residence or work.
