When it comes to keeping cyclists safe on the road, education goes both ways. It isn’t just bikers who need to know what they’re doing while on the go—motorists need to be aware of the dos and don’ts, too. This is why it might be a good idea for car owners to go through’s SM’s free Biker’s Manual given the chance.
In case you missed it, the mall chain and the Department of Transportation recently collaborated to publish a manual for cyclists last week. Also referred to as the Active Transport Manual, this document contains important information regarding road safety and etiquette. It’s being given away for free at SM Malls across the country.
In case, however, you’d rather not carry a physical safety manual with you for easy reading, you have the option to own it digitally, too. The Active Transport Manual is available for free and can be downloaded in either English or Tagalog. You can download it here.
Again, we think it’s important that motorists give this a read, too. We’re willing to bet that thousands of drivers out there aren’t familiar with basic biking hand signals and traffic protocols. You can find this out and more inside SM’s free Biker’s Manual.
