We’ve only had a very brief go in a pre-production version of the new hybrid Honda Prelude so far, but it seems as though it’ll be a pleasant but slightly plain little two-door coupe.

It’ll take over from the Civic Type R as Honda’s competitor in the GT500 class, and the regs mean that it’ll drop its hybrid system and deploy a 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine that’ll send 650hp to the rear wheels. Nice.

As you can see, there’s also a full carbon body and an absolutely monstrous rear wing. Reckon Honda should work on a homologation-spec road car? Yeah, us too…
