In the auto industry, you don’t always have to reinvent the wheel if you’re hoping to make an impact. Just ask Mitsubishi, which has just introduced the new Mirage G4 in the local market packing a familiar 1.2-liter engine.
The company’s reliable 1.2-liter 3A92 in-line-three engine makes a return here with 77hp at 6,000rpm and 100Nm of torque at 4,000rpm, so expect the same proposition in terms of fuel economy and oomph. What’s been focused on in this refresh is polish, and it’s apparent with a few of the components inside and out.
The face gets a new appearance thanks to the implementation of Mitsubishi’s signature dynamic shield design, which gets the new Mirage G4 in line with more contemporary offerings like the Montero Sport, the Strada, and the Xpander. Surprisingly, the look fits nicely on the much smaller sedan. Who’d have thunk?
Some upgrades have been made to the vehicle’s interior as well. The new seats feel nicer and are noticeably more supportive, and the company has equipped the dashboard with a more modern head unit that features Android Auto and Apple CarPlay compatibility. Very nice.
