We now have an idea of just how small the new Ford Maverick is.
In a previous article, we used renders of the compact pickup to compare it with other trucks such as the Ranger and the Hyundai Santa Cruz. Heck, we even compared it with other non-pickup Fords like the Territory and the Explorer.
This time around, though, we have actual photos of the Maverick side-by-side with two of its bigger siblings, and it gives us a better look at just how compact the new truck is. In the image above—which was shared with the Maverick Truck Club by Todd Grace—you can see the Ranger on the left, the Maverick in the middle, and the F-150 on the right.

The Maverick pictured here is an XLT variant finished in Carbonized Gray. When we first saw the pickup during its launch, it didn’t look that small, but this photo clearly shows just how wider and taller the Ranger is.

Now, the people of the Internet are saying that the inside of the Maverick is actually roomier than the numbers may suggest. In fact, some have claimed that the rear seats of the Maverick are more comfortable than those of the Ranger’s. Of course, we can’t really confirm or deny that until we’ve tried it out ourselves. But will Ford Philippines even consider bringing this in? Who knows.
What do you think, readers? Does a small truck like this have a place in our market?
