Move over, Toyota Land Cruiser. Our auction fanatics appear to have found a new favorite—at least for now.
This section’s new flavor of the month? It’s the Mitsubishi Pajero. A handful of desirable units have surfaced on the online auction or resale block recently—examples like this short-wheelbase Pajero pickup and an ultra-rare Pajero Evo. Now, add this unit to the list.
This cute little guy is a 1995 Mitsubishi Pajero Mini XR-II. As the right-hand-drive layout indicates, it’s been imported to the US from Japan. It currently has around 87,000km on the odometer, and the current highest bid for the vehicle on bringatrailer.com sits at $5,000 (just under P300,000).
It’s powered by a four-cylinder 659cc gasoline engine and has shifting duties handled by a three-speed automatic transmission. The seller hasn’t specified the mill’s exact output, but the absence of a hood scoop indicates that this is a non-turbo model with around 64hp. It should also hit highway speed without any issue, the seller adds.
Outside, this mini SUV flaunts a two-tone blue and grey finish, as well as components like 15-inch aftermarket wheels, a fender-mounted mirror, a bull bar, roof rails, and mud flaps. There’s also a subtle spoiler mounted at the rear that gives the unit a somewhat sporty appearance.
The interior, meanwhile, is wrapped in gray cloth. Also included is a Panasonic stereo and a functioning A/C system.
Last things to note? The seller says the unit underwent an oil change and had its roof and hood refinished in preparation for the sale. Is this a deal you would be willing to pull the trigger on? Let us know in the comments.
