Robinsons Forum will be closing its doors permanently on May 1. For almost 18 years the mall has been a regular fixture along EDSA, but its operator Robinsons Malls has announced the area will be redeveloped into something “new and exciting.”
Sure, malls are about a dime a dozen here in Metro Manila—but this news stings a little. Located just a stone’s throw away from the Top Gear Philippines office in Mandaluyong City, it has been the venue for countless team lunches (by the way, just a friendly reminder to our teammates who still have pending lunch treats) and clock-out grocery runs.

May 1 is going to be a sad day. But on the bright side, the mall’s Handyman is holding a send-off sale that covers a ton of automotive products. With discounts as high as 50% off, it may be worth dropping by the place to score a deal or two before the mall is gone for good.
