In case you missed it, the all-new 250 Series Toyota Land Cruiser Prado has finally landed on Philippine soil. The new model rides on the TNGA-F chassis it shares with its bigger LC300 sibling. The new Prado sports a boxier body with hints of the 70 and 40 series in its styling. For this spec-sheet brawl we will pit it against two of its closest rivals that occupy the same upper-P4 million range: the Ford Bronco Outer Banks with Sasquatch Package, and the refreshed Jeep Wrangler Unlimited Sport.

Let’s look at the 4x4 SUVs featured in this spec-sheet brawl. The local-spec all-new Prado is only offered in its fully-loaded luxurious form, at least for now. That also means it has big wheels, body-colored exterior trim, and a vertical bar grille with the modern Toyota badge. The Bronco is only offered in its more luxurious Outer Banks trim level, but has been equipped with the Sasquatch off-road package. For now, the refreshed Wrangler Unlimited is only available in its lower Sport variant, but the PH-spec model has been well-optioned.

All three SUVs have boosted gasoline powerplants under their hoods. The new Prado packs a 277hp turbo-four, the Bronco gets a 330hp turbo V6, and the refreshed Wrangler comes equipped with a 268hp turbocharged in-line-four. Four-wheel drive is standard on all three SUVs, and yes, they all have low-range mode.

When it comes to each vehicle’s shoes, the Prado comes with 32.5-inch diameter 265/60 R20 rollers, the Bronco is equipped with 34.4-inch 315/70 R17 rubber, and the Wrangler gets 31.5-inch 245/75 R17 tires. Of the three, the Toyota comes with the lowest-profile tires, while Ford’s 4x4 has the most aggressive set of rubbers with the tallest sidewalls.

Like before, the new Prado has a station wagon-style body that allows it to have a larger cargo area and space for a third row of seats. The Bronco and the Wrangler are strictly two-row SUVs with short rear overhangs. While their design limits the cargo room and requires the spare tire to hang on the swing gate, it does improve the departure angle, which is an advantage for off-roading.

The fixed-top Prado comes with a tilt-and-slide moonroof, while the Bronco and the Wrangler have removable hardtops and doors. Note that the tops of the two American off-roaders come off in segments.
