Before we welcome the new year, let’s take a look back at some of the cars we had the privilege of reviewing in 2025.

We’ve compiled below a list of the 10 most-read reviews from our website. There are still dozens of others up online, though, and if you want to do some more reading, you can click on these blue words.

Mazda CX-30

Interestingly, almost half of our list includes electrified vehicles. Will you be purchasing a hybrid or a fully electric vehicle in 2026? Let us know in the comments.

1) 2025 Toyota Hilux 2.8 GR-S 4x4

2025 Toyota Hilux GR-S Review Philippines

While we’re itching to review the all-new Hilux—and its fully electric version—the now previous-generation Hilux GR-S was one of our most-read evaluations of 2025. This top-spec variant in particular returned surprisingly good fuel economy at 14-15km/L on the highway, though it did feel dated. Thankfully, the 2026 Hilux isn’t too far away.

2) 2025 Nissan Patrol V6T LE

Nissan Patrol 2025

The all-new Patrol is just what the struggling Nissan brand needed. It’s comfortable, classy, and competitively priced. Packing a new twin-turbo V6, the Patrol proved that Nissan could still build a worthy flagship amid financial struggles.

3) 2026 Toyota bZ4X

Toyota bZ4X

Reservations for Toyota’s first fully electric vehicle opened in November, but we got the chance to drive it before it officially hit showroom floors. With an all-wheel-drive system, 570km of range, and the Toyota name, the bZ4X could be a serious option for car buyers in 2026.

4) 2025 Mitsubishi Xpander 1.5 GLS AT

The Mitsubishi Xpander is beginning to reach ‘ol reliable’ status for MPV shoppers—and lucky for them, a facelifted version dropped earlier this year. And because it shares the same powertrain as the 2025 model, drive feel and ride comfort should be generally similar.

5) 2025 BYD Seagull

2025 BYD Seagull review

The BYD Seagull has been around since 2024, and it has held up well this past year. For its P898,000 price, it offers urban dwellers a seriously competitive package if they can buy into its rather modern design.

6) 2025 Honda Civic RS e:HEV

Surely, our 2025 Car of the Year had to make the list. The hybrid Honda Civic stands as a worthy successor to the sedans that came before it. While its P1.99 million price tag is a tad steep and may throw some buyers off, it is still one heck of a car.

7) 2025 Ford Ranger 2.0L Bi-Turbo Raptor 4x4 AT

You guys sure do love your pickups. The Ford Ranger Raptor has been a consistently impressive truck, and this 2025 model is no different. A few kinks and quirks can be forgiven thanks to its comfortable Fox suspension and great handling.

8) 2025 Isuzu MU-X LS-E 4x2 AT

A thorough facelift breathed new life into the Isuzu MU-X this year, and it should be good for another year or so. While the lower-spec’d variant might be a better deal, the creature comforts and safety features in the LS-E trim are great conveniences.

9) 2025 Toyota Camry 2.5 V HEV

The Toyota Camry was still kicking in 2025, and we expect it to survive 2026. While the midsize sedan market is dwindling, the Camry still shows out with an updated hybrid engine and a spirited driving experience. Backseat comfort is still great, in true Camry fashion.

10) 2024 Mazda CX-30

Mazda CX-30

Every so often, we get the opportunity to spend an extended amount of time with a car. Top Gear Philippines editor-in-chief Dinzo Tabamo got to know the Mazda CX-30 over the course of a year as his daily driver. It was able to supply the demands of driving in 2025, with an efficient hybrid powertrain, an ideal subcompact crossover form factor, and the elegant engineering from Mazda.
