The new Corolla Cross has been the talk of the town these past few days after Toyota Motor Philippines’ (TMP) successful launch of the facelifted crossover. For those of you who found yourselves at SM Aura over the past weekend, then you probably got a chance to get up close and personal with this new model.
As for those of you who didn’t get up close and personal with the 2024 Corolla Cross, then you might be wondering what exactly is new with it. Well, apart from the face—which isn’t available in the top-spec GR-S trim, by the way—there are a lot more.

The said GR-S variant gets its old face, but it now sports stylish sequential turn signals to go along with the redesigned headlamp. As for the G and V variants, the grille now does away with all the chrome and plastics and instead gets this futuristic-looking hexagonal pattern on the front fascia.
On the inside, Toyota has fitted new tech across the range. There’s a 10-inch infotainment system with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto and a wireless charger that both come standard. Varying new instrument clusters are also available, the highlight of which is the new fully digital display in the top-spec GR-S. This trim also gets a massive new moonroof up top.

Another important change for 2024 is the shift to an all-electric lineup for the Corolla Cross now that TMP has dropped the gasoline variant. The range now starts with the G HEV that stickers for P1.498 million, followed by the V HEV that goes for P1.763 million, and then the GR-S HEV priced at P1.917 million. This now makes the Corolla Cross the most affordable hybrid in Toyota’s lineup.
