To the Prelude fans and aspiring EV owners out there, we finally have confirmation: Honda Cars Philippines will be bringing in the Prelude and the 0 Series line to our market beginning next year.
The Prelude will be arriving first sometime within the first half of 2026, “if all goes well,” the carmaker says. The hybrid coupe went on sale in Japan on September 5 and has surpassed Honda’s sales expectations, getting around 2,400 reservations in its home market in one month. Looks like its 24-year absence has made the hearts of Prelude fans grow fonder of Honda’s iconic coupe, which now has a hybrid powertrain that’s the same as that of the Civic Hybrid, but shares the Civic Type R’s front suspension and brakes.

The 0 Series, meanwhile, will entail a longer wait. Global sales of the 0 Saloon and the 0 SUV are set to begin in 2026, initially in North America—which explains why pre-production versions were launched at the Consumer Electronics Show. These cars will be produced in Ohio.
The latest model in this dedicated battery EV lineup is the 0 Alpha, which just made its official debut at the 2025 Japan Mobility Show a few days ago. It will first go on sale in Japan and India in 2027, and will serve as a gateway model to the 0 Series line. Philippine-bound units are expected to be sourced from India. Whichever of the three 0 Series models lands first on our shores, it will be Honda’s first fully electric offering in the country.

These upcoming additions will surely make Honda’s local lineup very interesting and diversified in the near future. What do you think of this strategy, and will you be looking forward to any of these cars? Let us know in the comments.
