Mazda is now accepting orders for the all-new MX-5 in its home market of Japan. Depending on the variant, the prices range from 2,494,800 yen (P927,444) for the standard S variant with a six-speed manual gearbox, to 3,142,800 yen (P1.168 million) for the S variant with the leather package and a six-speed automatic transmission.
For Japan, the all-new MX-5 is available with a 1.5-liter engine that produces 129hp and 150Nm. It’s also understandably lighter than the 2.0-liter model, with the entry-level S variant weighing 990kg--68kg less than the higher-displacement model with the same six-speed manual shifter.
The all-new MX-5 will officially go on sale in Japan in June.
So, how much do you think local Mazda distributor Berjaya Auto Philippines should sell the new MX-5 for?
