More and more automakers are starting to reveal their plans for the upcoming Japan Mobility Show. Honda and Mitsubishi already said what they’ll be showcasing over there, while Toyota is being a little more, er, cryptic.
But what about Nissan, you ask? After all, they are part of the Japanese Big Three, current struggles notwithstanding. Well, finally, the company has showed some of their cards. There are a couple of new models to look forward to by the end of the month, but one is perhaps the most significant.

That would be the next-generation Nissan Elgrand. Nissan has confirmed that it will be in the show and make its world premiere on October 29, 2025.

Nissan gave a sneak peek of its Alphard-fighter back in April 2025 and didn’t give much info after that. There still isn’t a deluge of information following the announcement, but it has been confirmed that it will utilize an e-Power range extender powertrain. The company also said that customer deliveries in Japan by 2026.

The impending arrival of the all-new Elgrand couldn’t be more timely. Not only will it succeed an aging model, Nissan believes that this model will be key to the brand’s recovery. A crucial model, indeed, especially in its home market.
So, what can we expect? The fourth-generation Nissan Elgrand will draw design elements from the Hyper Tourer concept shown during the 2023 Japan Mobility Show. Both concept and production models share the distinct headlight pattern and rakish windshield. The rear retails its relatively upright tailgate, but it’s been toned down for the production version. Still, it’s enough detail for us to be able to render it.

Nissan will also display other new products in its stand during the exhibition. One of them will be the facelifted Ariya with refreshed looks, Google integration, and vehicle-to-load (V2L) capabilities. The Roox kei car, the mechanical twin of the Mitsubishi Delica Mini, will also be on display, as well as the Patrol, Skyline 400R Limited Edition, and the updated X-Trail.
