Toyota is cooking up something pretty big. For the last few weeks, the world’s biggest automaker has been releasing cryptic teasers with next to no context whatsoever. It’s something different from the brand, and it’s making us very curious.
Well, Toyota’s strategy to get eyes on the brand definitely worked. It’s got people taking about it, not that Toyota needs even more eyes on it, but there’s a sense of excitement and anticipation. What a way to tease its Japan Mobility Show program.

The teaser suggests that the company has huge plans for all the marques under its wing. It includes Lexus, Century, Gazoo Racing, and even Daihatsu. With that, there are several potential models that could make their respective world premiere or public launches at the Japan Mobility Show.

Starting with Toyota, there’s a lot of buzz surrounding the Land Cruiser FJ, and the upcoming show could serve as its launch pad. At the same time, there have been hints of the MR2 and Celica revival, so a concept might be shown over there. And let’s not forget that the Corolla is due for a full model change.

For Lexus, the company hinted that it will show off its sports car soon. There’s a good chance that it will be the LF-R. The prototype was first shown during the Goodwood Festival of Speed, and more recently, in Fuji Speedway. At the same time, the Lexus ES could also make its public debut in the show.
We’re scratching our heads with the Century brand, though. While still technically a Toyota model, Century-badged models go far beyond what Lexus vehicles have to offer in terms of luxury, so we’re curious as to how that product line will expand. An ultra-luxurious version of the Alphard and LM, perhaps?

Moving to Gazoo Racing, the racing version of the future Lexus LF-R might finally lose its camo wrap. As mentioned, the Celica concept could make a surprise appearance, along with other motorsports-related announcements.
Lastly, Daihatsu has been relatively quiet. That said, the company recently discontinued the Copen kei sports car. On the flip side, it displayed a roadster concept back in 2023 so we’re keeping our fingers crossed we see a prototype during the show. Of course, expect loads of concepts to be displayed there as well.

More will be revealed by October 13, 2025. By then, we’ll know more about Toyota’s display at JMS 2025. Exciting stuff, indeed.
