No, we’re not selling the Toyota Tamaraw campervan

Not in the Philippines, and definitely not at Top Gear PH

CAR BRANDS IN THIS ARTICLE

One of our videos kinda went a little viral last week: the walkaround of the Toyota Tamaraw campervan we saw at the 2024 Bangkok International Motor Show.

It was pretty cool knowing that there are already a lot of eyes on the next-generation Tamaraw even before it hits the market. What’s not as cool—and actually downright hilarious—is that people are thinking we’re the ones selling this vehicle. We’ve been getting a lot of messages about the vehicle and on different social media platforms at that.

Us. At Top Gear Philippines. Selling a brand-new vehicle that isn’t even available yet. Imagine that. It’s like the Mitsubishi Delica Mini all over again.

Toyota Hilux Champ

You’re all excited, we know. The campervan you see in the photo above as well as the other Hilux Champ units here, however, are merely concept builds from Toyota in Thailand. So for the record, the Hilux Champ/Tamaraw campervan still isn’t on sale in the Philippines, and we’re definitely not selling grey-market units here at Top Gear.

You’ll have to wait for Toyota Motor Philippines (TMP) to launch this here officially before you can get your hands on one. And just to be clear, we still won’t be selling anything when that time comes. While you’re waiting, though, what you can do is check out some of our updates on this modern-day Tamaraw here and here instead.
