The ladies have gone with something with considerably more road presence this year.
A total of 50 female motoring journalists from 38 countries have voted the all-new Land Rover Defender as the 2021 Women’s World Car of the Year (WWCOTY). The off-road icon beat a handful of other worthy finalists, including the Honda e, Kia Sorento, and Lexus LC500.

“The Women’s World Car of the Year is the only jury in the world made up entirely of women motoring journalists. This gives it enormous value because its decisions represent the liking and preferences of millions of women drivers around the globe,” WWCOTY executive president Marta Garcia said in a statement.
“But cars have no gender and are not subject to stereotypes so the winners of these awards are, quite simply, the best cars in the world,” she added.
“The best cars in the world.” You’ll get no argument from us there. Frankly, that up there is some very stiff competition, and this win is a testament to the all-new Defender’s global appeal. This is besides the fact that Top Gear chose the Defender as its Car of the Year, too.
