Toyota is in hot water at the moment due to the certification issues it is currently facing regarding its diesel engines. It has since suspended deliveries of key models in certain markets excluding ours—so far, we have been marked safe from these issues.
Toyota Motor Corporation chairman Akio Toyoda, for his part, has issued an apology during a recent press conference wherein he revealed the Toyota Group’s future direction.
“I would like to express my deepest apologies to our customers and stakeholders for the inconvenience and concern caused by the successive irregularities at Hino Motors, Daihatsu, and Toyota Industries,” Toyoda said.

Toyota president and CEO Koji Sato has also issued an apology amid the company’s woes. According to a report by Associated Press, Sato recently spoke to customers, suppliers, and dealers wherein he himself addressed the situation.
“We will do our utmost to resume production as soon as possible,” said Sato. “Management was not able to fully comprehend and keep track of the details of what was happening on the ground.”
