The new and improved Kamuning station and footbridge along the EDSA Busway are nearing completion, as the Department of Transportation (DOTr) conducted a site inspection earlier today. It looks like Mt. Kamuning will no longer be needed in the near future.
From the photos and videos shared, the main structure of the footbridge looks to be complete. With the new walkway, commuters using the EDSA Busway and the MRT-3 can now cross between the respective stations. The elevator shafts on both sides of the bridge also look nearly finished.

Secretary Giovanni Lopez of the DOTr also checked the busway station, which already has railings, signage, and benches installed. There are even potted plants along the waiting area.

The department, however, did not offer any completion date for the new station. Previous reports initially had it pegged at December 2025, but construction has continued throughout the new year. Hopefully, we’ll see it operational before the end of the quarter.

Since work on the new bridge began, the EDSA Busway system has gone through several other changes and improvements. Seventeen stations, including Kamuning, now have free Wi-Fi, while GCash is accepted as a cashless payment option throughout the entire line.
And through the larger EDSA Rehabilitation Project, select busway lanes have been improved with a more durable asphalt. That entire project is expected to wrap up in May later this year.
