It’s finally done, folks. The improved Kamuning EDSA Busway station is now open, which means we can all say goodbye to the Stairway to Heaven.
The new station includes the new footbridge, which features friendlier walkways and elevators. It also provides a direct path between the bus stop and the MRT-3 GMA-Kamuning station, helping commuters transfer between lines.
Construction began in August 2025 and was originally planned to conclude in December. However, completion dates began to push back, which led to the new stop opening in March 2026. Better late than never, we suppose.

In its completed state, the station has essentially stayed true to the original renders. On the station floor, there are now benches, potted plants, and more readable signage—including a clear fare matrix for the whole carousel. The footbridge looks properly lit and is now covered all the way through. The elevators also look to be in working order.
Commuters can expect similar improvements at other busway stations as a wider renovation project is ongoing. Note that this is a separate initiative from the EDSA Rehabilitation Project, which is now also in full swing.
The Monumento, Bagong Barrio, and Guadalupe EDSA Busway stations are scheduled for a fix-up, while new stations in Cubao, Magallenes, and the Parañaque Integrated Terminal Exchange will be built. All of these should be completed by mid-2026.
