These look pretty sick

Artificial intelligence is really quite the thing. With the advent of more advanced AI tools, we’ve seen all sorts of wild digital creations come out on the Internet. Frankly, it can be a bit scary, but we digress.

Recently, while browsing through the popular Facebook group Subtle Asian Traits (SAT), I came across about a dozen photos of car-branded rice cookers. Apparently, these were generated using Midjourney, an AI tool for image creation.

In a nutshell, the group SAT is a place where Asians from all over the Internet come together for, well, basically anything related to Asian culture. These images were rendered by Thai-Anh Nguyen, a Vietnamese working as a creative director in Germany. He says these appliances were the key for carmakers to dominate the Asian market. Because, of course, we love our rice.

The images actually look pretty sick. Some of you may already know that brands like Mitsubishi already make household appliances, but you have to admit the ones here look way, way better. The BMW-branded gizmo’s the only one here that looks like an actual rice cooker. And probably the Porsche, too.

Which one’s your favorite? See the other images below. If I had to pick, I’d probably go for the Toyota and the Lamborghini.
