Living life without a permanent residence? Sure, it can sound appealing. This is especially true when you consider the rising cost of rent, worsening pollution, and less-than-ideal traffic situation most urban centers are known for.
Being constantly on the go sounds like a good idea, then. Well, at least until the reality of cramped spaces and the lack of amenities kicks in. Enter the ContiHome—tire manufacturer Continental’s pitch for free-spirited movers who want to sacrifice as little as possible when shifting to mobile living.
While the company pitches this thing as an example of “tiny house” living, it’s rather big—at least by our standards. There is 32 square meters of space that features a kitchen, dining area, workstation, a sleeping area, and even a retractable deck. The interior looks incredibly polished and spacious, too, thanks to massive windows and a relatively premium choice of materials.

Continental says the driving principles behind the ContiHome are mobility and flexibility. It’s mounted on a trailer for easy transport, and it also features plenty of sustainable materials in its build. This entire project was created using only Continental products, by the way. Yes, the brand builds more than just tires.
“With our ContiHome, we want to invite customers and partners to think outside the box,” Ralf Imbery, Continental’s director of innovation, transformation, and design, said in a statement. “That is why we have combined the various characteristics of our products in a single project—innovative, designed with functional surfaces, sustainable and intelligent. And we inspire a new way of thinking.”
So, how much? No price is given, sadly, as this is only a model meant to showcase Continental’s wide variety of products and materials. This would definitely make for a nice peg in case you want to build one yourself, though. Thoughts?
