Earlier this year, we reported that old-school Toyota Land Cruisers have gained value at a pretty impressive rate over the past couple of years. So much so that one might even consider the right specimen a sound investment.
This unit right here? It’s an aged FJ62 that looks clean in blue from afar but has its fair share of scars—a little rust, some paint chips and scratches, and an engine bay that’s clearly seen better days. It might also be the perfect opportunity for those of you looking to one day cash in on the SUV’s immense popularity.

Currently up for auction on Bringatrailer.com, this Land Cruiser packs a 4.0-liter in-line-six capable of 155hp and 298Nm of torque paired with a four-speed automatic transmission. Its odometer shows around 403,000km covered over the course of its life, and as we said earlier, it shows.
Despite some slight imperfections outside, the cabin appears pretty clean with a pair of bucket seats up front and a rugged gray color scheme featuring woven inserts on the door panels. The vehicle runs on 15-inch steel wheels wrapped in mud tires, as well as an aftermarket suspension setup with Old Man Emu stabilizer bar and shocks.

The current highest bid sits at $7,600 (just around P386,000) as of this writing. So, are you someone looking to eventually cash in or after a worthwhile restoration project? Let us know in the comments.
