As much as many of us here love to see dressed-up Toyotas, we know the flurry of Gazoo Racing Sport models over the past few weeks may have garnered mixed reactions from a lot of people. The low-riding Hilux in Thailand, for example, may not be everyone’s cup of tea.
That’s why we have here a palette cleanser of sorts: Modellista’s Black Prime Hilux bodykit. Not only is it a relatively more subtle look than the Hilux GR-S, it also seems to be a decent alternative to the top-spec Hilux Conquest we have in our market.
The kit includes standard Modellista parts. Accentuating the exterior are a black radiator grille and foglamp garnishes, a front spoiler, overfenders, and side decals. Of course, there’s a Modellista emblem, too.
Now, we’re saying it might be a good Hilux Conquest alternative because the bodykit supposedly starts at 19,900 Thai baht or about P30,000, and is available across the Hilux range. Still a bit costly, but this means you can snazz up your truck without having to shell out too much for the top-of-the-line variant.
So, what do you think of Modellista’s bodykit? If it were available locally, would you spec your Hilux with these bits? You can check out more footage of the kitted pickup below.
