Tesla fanboys...just look away. Teslas were harmed during the production of this video, and this is likely going to be too painful for you to watch. That and, well, there are a couple of zingers in here that might hurt your feelings.
Remember Rich Rebuilds? You know, the dude who built a Tesla ATV just because? Well, he’s back to messing around with Elon Musk’s babies. This time, he’s fit a Camaro V8 engine he found on eBay and stuck it inside a busted Model S.
“But why?” some of you are probably asking. Well, Rich Rebuild answers this question pretty handily: Because he can, and because he’s gotten bored of doing regular Tesla rebuilds. Watch:
All right, all right. The build isn’t exactly done yet. We haven’t seen it run and the V8 is still pretty exposed. The team isn’t done yet, and the video ends with the delivery of a proper steering rack. Based on what we’ve seen this YouTube channel accomplish in the past, though, we think it’s likely it successfully completes its mission.
Rich Rebuilds also left a snarky little message for all the Tesla fans bashing him for pursuing this project in the comments: “To the troglodytes saying ‘but you’re making it slower,’ it’s going to be a hell of a lot faster than it was sitting in a junkyard waiting to be crushed. Bone apple tea.”
Come on, guys. We’re all car nuts here. Let’s keep things civil, okay?
Anyway, we’ve seen regular cars turned to electric vehicles, but it’s not every day we see the exact opposite being done. So, how do you think a conversion like this will handle?
