This Toyota monster is what you get when you turn a render into reality

A pretty nasty Tacoma

If you’re an avid reader of our content here at Top Gear PH, you probably know that our team’s pretty fond of renders. If you haven’t seen them yet, you should check out these modernized designs from our resident artist, Andrew Guerrero. His most recent creations include the Toyota Tamaraw FX, Mitsubishi Celeste, and Toyota Starlet, to name a few.

But we’re not here to talk about those—we’re here to take a closer look at this insane concept from Jon Sibal. He’s an automotive artist whose Instagram page is filled with some of the most outrageous renders you can find on cyberspace. Unlike our renders, though, some of Sibal’s get turned into reality every once in a while, just like the Toyota Tacoma you see here.

If you’re familiar with the guy’s IG feed, you know it’s easy to mistake his illustrations for an actual real-life photo, but this truck is the real deal. Sibal says that it was a project for DeBerti and Toyota Racing, and boy does the finished product look stunning.

Actually, there’s quite a lot to take in. The front fascia is as intimidating as faces get, and those deep, massive wheels almost look like plane turbines. Oh, and there’s a big ass spoiler at the end of the bed, too—not something you see in a truck every day.

I’m not too big on lowered trucks myself, but if I had to choose between this and Kei Miura’s Toyota Hilux, I’ll take this modded Tacoma in a heartbeat. What about you? What’s your take on this one?
