Would you be happy if the all-new Toyota Vios GR-S looked this aggressive?

We think we speak for the majority of car guys when we say the next-generation Toyota Vios is a step up from the current one when it comes to aesthetics. Agree?

It’s not that the current Vios looks bad—it’s just that the 2023 version has a much more mature look to it with a more streamlined overall vibe. Come to think of it, the all-new subcompact sedan does sort of look like a baby Corolla Altis.

The 2023 sedan also has a much more serious tone to it. This is something we think bodes well for a potential GR-S variant. We may be getting a bit too excited here, but we’re already excited for what a sportier take on the stock unit will look like. It appears we aren’t the only ones eager to see this happen already.

YouTube channel Theottle has already gone through the trouble of rendering a ‘Toyota GR Vios.’ You can check out the final result of the channel’s work in the video below.

So, what’s been done here? The most obvious changes are the fenders, which have been noticeably extended. A livelier honeycomb grille design has also been added to the face, and the lower fascia gets squared off even further. There’s the use of GR badging, of course, and some side vents which we assume are non-functional, too.

Overall, we dig it—though the fender extensions applied to the rear can look a bit too much from some angles. Let us know what you think of this render in the comments.
