Familiar with the wheel clamp or parking boot? Then you’re probably aware that once one of these babies is slapped onto your vehicle, your best course of action is to pay a fine and have it removed by authorities. Chances are it was placed on your tire for good reason, so you suck it up and move on.
Oh, and attempting to drive away with one still locked on a wheel is probably the last thing you want to do. These dudes, however, appear to have not gotten the memo.
So, what’s going on here exactly? This is what a bunch of people trying (in an incredibly miserable fashion) to remove a wheel clamp from their vehicle looks like. Who placed it and why is unknown. But what’s clear is that everything you’re about to see in this video is the exact opposite of what you should do in this situation.

Frankly, we don’t know what was going through their heads here. Watch:
Driving away with a wheel clamp
The scenario is definitely a head-scratcher if we’ve ever seen one. And watching a nice aftermarket wheel get butchered unnecessarily makes it even more painful to watch.
The footage ends with the group deciding to take the wheel off entirely to free the vehicle from its shackles. Police eventually arrive on the scene to assist the group, so perhaps the clamp is broken or was mistakenly placed.
So, do you think they eventually got it off?
