Several months ago, we were back with another Wrong Car/Right Car episode. As luck would have it, it took another half year for us to find a new individual willing to guest in this segment of ours. So yeah, if you’re in the market for a new car, don’t be and join us in our future WC/RC episodes.
Anyway, for Episode 3, we joined our good friend Paolo Apagalang, who’s in the market for a new midsize SUV. You might have seen him already on Top Gear Philippines before—he’s our fun and quirky host who stars in our videos once in a while.

Paolo is a seasoned video producer and content creator. He and his wife have four dogs, so he’s looking for a vehicle that can fit all of them easily. He also resides in a flood-prone area, so high water-wading capacity is also very important.
Our guest is choosing among the Toyota Fortuner, Mitsubishi Montero Sport, and Ford Everest—arguably the three biggest names in the segment. He’s looking at something within the P2.2 to 2.6 million range, which puts his budget right up there with the top-of-the-line variants.
We know we all have our biases, and customers in this part of the market have very strong opinions about these models, but it’s always best to leave it to the customer and let him say for himself which of his picks he feels best suits his needs and fits his budget.
