Going on a road trip during the June 12 and June 17 holidays? You’re in luck—fuel prices are going down, so you can stretch your fuel budget by a bit.

For the week of June 11 to 17, 2024, diesel prices will go down by P1.20 per liter, which completely offsets last week’s P0.60/L price hike. Gasoline prices will also decrease by P0.60 per liter, adding to last week’s P0.90/L rollback. Finally, kerosene prices will also have a rollback of P1.30 per liter.

Once these adjustments take effect, gasoline and diesel prices will have gone up by P6.05/L and P4.25/L, respectively, since the beginning of 2024. Meanwhile, kerosene prices will have had a net decrease of P1.55/L since the start of the year.

If you want to save up on fuel costs, remember that fuel prices may vary depending on location and the brand of the fuel station; it might be cheaper somewhere along your regular route than near your place of residence or work. Is your car consuming more fuel than usual? Here’s one thing to check. While we’re at it, here are the signs your fuel injectors could be failing.
