The month of May kicks off with considerable fuel price hikes again—make sure to top up before these changes take effect.

For the period of April 29 to May 5, 2025, gasoline prices will increase by another P1.35 per liter, same as in the previous week. Diesel prices, too, will go up by P0.80 per liter. Finally, kerosene will have a price hike of P0.70 per liter.

Once these adjustments take effect, gasoline and diesel prices will have gone up by P3.60/L and P3.65/L since the beginning of 2025, and kerosene prices will have had a net decrease of P1.10/L since the start of the year.

If you want to save up on fuel costs, remember that fuel prices may vary depending on location and the brand of the fuel station; it might be cheaper somewhere along your regular route than near your place of residence or work. Is your car consuming more fuel than usual? Here’s one thing to check. While we’re at it, here are the signs your fuel injectors could be failing.
