In case you missed it, used Toyota Land Cruisers are currently a hot item among car collectors. The value of old-school units like the FJ60 and FJ62 has shot up considerably over the past few years, so much so that jumping on the opportunity to own one could be considered an investment.
Well, another chance to get in on this model’s value has turned up on BringATrailer. The current highest bid for this 1988 Toyota Land Cruiser FJ62? It now sits at a cool $10,250 (a little over P500,000).
NOTE: This lot was sold for $46,750 (P2.4 million) on January 20, 2022.
Let’s cover the basics: The odometer reads around 428,000km, and under the hood, you’ll find a 4.0-liter fuel-injected 3F-E engine which originally produced 155hp and 298Nm of torque paired with a four-speed automatic transmission. The unit was acquired by the current seller earlier this year, and the engine was last overhauled in 2020.
A few aftermarket modifications have been made here, though. This includes the new 15-inch American Racing wheels, a keyless entry system, Pioneer sound system with Bluetooth connectivity, KC lights, an ARB roof rack, and a Safari snorkel. Its suspension also features a 2.5-inch Old Man Emu lift kit.
All those parts are wrapped around a clean metallic gray finish. The exterior color matches the cabin’s neat grey hue, too. Worth noting, however, is that the vehicle figured in an accident in August 2020.
Frankly, this might be the last Land Cruiser we feature in this section for a while as there are a ton of other used SUVs out there that deserve a look-see. But this model just demands attention any time you come across a listing online.
