The Porsche Taycan is a masterpiece of German engineering, thanks in no small part to it being the sports car manufacturer’s first fully electric vehicle. That said, the leap in tech can be quite a bit to get your head around if you’ve only ever truly known air-cooled this and 911 that.
For example, did you know the Taycan only comes equipped with two gears? “Why so few?” some of you, especially those not well-versed in electric vehicles, are probably wondering. Well, that’s actually already one more than what many EVs offer.
If that was a mind-bender, you probably aren’t familiar with how electric cars juice up or the concept of regenerative braking, either. Thankfully, Porsche has enlisted the help of one of the world’s foremost experts in un-complicating the complicated. Watch:
Bill Nye Explains the All-Electric Taycan
Yes, Bill Nye the Science Guy is now working with Porsche. More specifically, the former television presenter and everyone’s favorite scientist has been tasked with explaining all things Taycan—from the car’s charging process and aerodynamics to its regenerative braking setup.
Frankly, we wouldn’t mind if Bill Nye stuck to explaining cars for the rest of his career. With all the advancements in the auto industry going on right now, we reckon he could make a killing doing this? What say you?
